Integrative and Comparative Biology (ICB), formerly American Zoologist, is the official journal of the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology. On its blog, ICB highlights articles from current issues, features behind-the-scenes insights from article authors, and much more.

Dr. Gamble-George contributed her thoughts to the ICB blog with other fellow neuroscientists at different stages in their STEM careers on the importance of #BlackinNeuroWeek. The week of events aimed to increase the visibility of Black neuroscientists, provide an open forum to discuss the STEM journeys of Black neuroscientists and issues faced by Black neuroscientists in different sectors, and form an online, worldwide network of Black neuroscientists.

Dr. Gamble-George

I love to empower people to become thought leaders and STEAM/STEMM innovators. I served as an expert science advisor for scientists that study chronic heart and lung diseases, HIV, and mental health. I also co-founded a biotech IoT application and device development company. As a scientist, I conduct research related to brain diseases and disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, anxiety and stress-related disorders, and substance use disorders.
