Flashchat with DreamWakers and After School Matters x Chicago Housing Authority Learn and Earn Program

Dr. Gamble-George has been invited to speak at a flashchat series that will be held on July 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM ET. Dr. Gamble-George will talk about how she found research opportunities as a high school student, what a typical day in her life looks like as a scientist, and her personal and professional journey in the healthcare and wellness field. The event is sponsored and hosted by DreamWakers, an organization that partners with 4th- to 12th-grade classrooms at rural and systemically under-resourced schools and educational programming nationwide to provide virtual connection with role models from diverse backgrounds, identities, and perspectives beyond their city limits, and by Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) Summer Youth Program, called the After School Matters x Chicago Housing Authority Learn and Earn Program, which provides CHA teen residents the opportunity to explore career fields of interest, practice academic skills, and make connections.
