A life-size 3D printed statue of Dr. Gamble-George was featured as part of the #IfThenSheCan exhibit preview in Dallas Love Field (DAL) airport from December 10, 2020 – May 9, 2021. The exhibit preview featured 15 AAAS IF/THEN® Ambassadors. The full #IfThenSheCan exhibit will showcase 122 women professionals in STEM (who are AAAS IF/THEN® Ambassadors) that will be immortalized as statues to combat stereotypes and gender bias by highlighting women as science experts. IF/THEN was founded on the belief that “IF we support a woman in STEM, THEN she can change the world.” It is a transformational initiative created and funded by Dallas-based Lyda Hill Philanthropies. Dedicated to closing the gender gap in STEM careers and inspiring the next generation of women innovators and pioneers, IF/THEN aims to activate a culture shift among young girls by providing them with women STEM role models.

Dr. Gamble-George

I love to empower people to become thought leaders and STEAM/STEMM innovators. I served as an expert science advisor for scientists that study chronic heart and lung diseases, HIV, and mental health. I also co-founded a biotech IoT application and device development company. As a scientist, I conduct research related to brain diseases and disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, anxiety and stress-related disorders, and substance use disorders.
