Dr. Gamble-George has been featured on pages 11-12 in NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) newsletter. In the Fall 2021 issue (Volume 4, Issue 4) of NIH ORWH newsletter, she talks about the IF/THEN Initiative, in which she is an ambassadorIF/THEN was founded on the belief that “IF we support a woman in STEM, THEN she can change the world.” It is a transformational initiative created and funded by Dallas-based Lyda Hill Philanthropies. Dedicated to closing the gender gap in STEM careers and inspiring the next generation of women innovators and pioneers, IF/THEN aims to activate a culture shift among young girls by providing them with women STEM role models. Dr. Gamble-George also talked about who inspired her to become a scientist, the greatest challenges she has endured as a scientist, and her experience at the 64th Lindau Nobel Laureate meeting in Germany. She also provided career advice for students and young scientists.

I love to empower people to become thought leaders and STEAM/STEMM innovators. I served as an expert science advisor for scientists that study chronic heart and lung diseases, HIV, and mental health. I also co-founded a biotech IoT application and device development company. As a scientist, I conduct research related to brain diseases and disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease, anxiety and stress-related disorders, and substance use disorders.
